About us

The new and exciting Painting and Decorating Taster Module is a 5 day apprenticeship taster course designed and delivered by industry professionals. The apprenticeship taster modules offered by ATMI provide students with a real insight into the life of an apprentice though hands on work experience.

This course provides a flavour of what it would be like to undertake an apprenticeship post secondary education. This work experience gained in the apprenticeship taster module will be common to all construction trades and will allow a student to make their own mind up whether an apprenticeship will be the right career path for them.

This experience of working alongside qualified tradespeople will provide students with the opportunity to acquire new lifelong practical skills. Students will be provided with hands on experience in painting and decorating by working with a decorating crew for a week. They will gain the experience of bringing a project from the planning stage to completion.

The Painting and Decorating taster module is the first to be offered by ATMI. We will be working with trade organisations and industry professionals from the construction sector to develop taster modules in a number of other trades and industries in the near future.
